We had an amazing lunch experience after a fun filled day at Elephant Rock State Park. We called ahead to ask if they had a patio where we could bring our dogs and we were told yes. When we arrived, we were met by our server April and she took us to a fabulous segregated part of the patio.
The food was awesome.....must try the cheese cubes, fish tacos and the beets (best ever).
Although we were the only ones sitting out there; April made sure we didn’t want for anything. She was always refilling waters, teas, clearing away the old dishes. She even brought our dogs a bowl of water.
The icing on the cake was the super nice bathrooms I hat were clean, and well stocked.
We will make this part of our tradition when in this part of the state!
Arrived 15 minutes before close. Staff ushered us right in and told us there was no hurry. Linda made us feel right at home. The Liver & Onions, with Beets as a side were very yummy. My son loved the meatloaf. The slaw is unique and very good. The chocolate pie was delicious. If someone wants to share, order them their own piece. Well worth the drive.
Everything is always delicious! Tonight was my first time trying the fried chicken. Let me just say my cousin owns a very famous "known for chicken" place in St.Louis so that's the quality I've been used to. Sorry, family, but The FDC Cafe nailed it! So much better and flavorful! Such a gem of a restaurant this small town has!
Edit:And to answer your question, yes it does.
Love love love this place. Great food once again. No matter how busy they are you never feel forgotten. Not sure how April learned to juggle but she makes you feel like your at home with family even when working a bunch of tables. Not a bad item on the menu, and trust me I've tried about all of them. Keep up the amazing work!
My husband & I stopped by & had dinner here on Sunday evening. Our waitress, April was very friendly & even though she was extremely busy giving attention to all of her customers she remained calm under pressure & always had a smile on her face. I remember my days as a waitress & can only imagine how her night was going. The food was amazing, we had the Forget about It Italian beef & April suggested Fish tacos. I must say the fish tacos were the best we have ever had. We will for sure be back.
