801 Chophouse

Every year I come to the Big 12 basketball tournament this is my go to place! The food and wait staff are amazing.Have to give major props to the Assistant General Manager Joanne. I met her during the 2019 tournament and when I came back this year I thought that there was no way she would remember me. Not only did she remember me she even pointed out what table we sat at in 2019!!!Can’t wait to get back there in 2021 and enjoy the great steaks they serve again!

One of the best steakhouses I have attended. Prices were fair, and drink options were plentiful. Only downside was the idea that I waiters gathered by the bar to discuss non work related topics, which lessened my dining experience. I wish the would have congregated in an out of site area during our visit.

Wait staff was still extremely friendly and professional in every other area. Food was perfect, and fairly priced(considering the quality).

This place is amazing! The whole experience was beyond 5 stars. We had an amazing waiter named Chuck who was very knowledgeable and entertaining. For starters we ordered the 2 1/2 dozen orders of the Oysters Rockefeller and the Lobster Bites. It came with complimentary Sourdough bread which was also delicious! And for the lobster bites and oysters, ONE WORD: OUTSTANDING!! The lobster bites were literally the highlight of the meal and the Oysters were so delicious paired with a cream sauce and big cubes of bacon. For our entrees we ordered the 801 chop Medium-well with the complimentary 801 rub and creamed spinach, lobster mac and cheese, and scalloped potatoes. Chuck gave us a meat presentation which helped us choose the right cut of meat. The meal was so delicious, flavorful and worth every dollar spent!

Came here on Kansas city restaurant week. Originally from Dallas/Ft Worth I’ve had my fair share of excellent steaks both locally as well nationally. This place came highly recommended. I have to say did not disappoint. Lizzie the bartender who serve me was amazing. She had great recommendations. 801wedge salad was divine. The food was cooked perfectly. A fillet medium rare charred on the outside was fantastic. Interestingly the person next to me at the bar seating came in on a date with someone else and wanted a vegan plate. Even more amazing was that this high end steak restaurant actually had a big vegan plate brought out for him. I was quite impressed. Only recommendation I have is to improve on the Italian red selection. Also the reds were a little warm and should be served a little cooler. I will definitely come here again and highly recommend this restaurant

This was a great eating experience! The service was on point! The food was great. The presentation of the cuts before you order was definitely an added bonus and really gets your juices going. The apps were good. The lamb chops we're cooked perfect. The sides we're different than what you get at a Morton's Steakhouse or Ruth's Chris. It was definitely a nice change of pace! I will definitely hit this place up again! Oh!!!! I can not forget the desert!!! Oh My God!!!!! I had the New York Cheesecake!!!! Yes! It was that good!!!!
