Delicious, reliable, and great customer service to boot! If you like it hot, try the spicy red and green salsas. Can’t wait to order more take out (delivered with masks :D)!
I came here because my best friend works here, otherwise I wouldn't have known about this place, which would have been a huge mistake to miss out on. I tried their breakfast menu. My friend knows that I don't pull any punches and I was apprehensive about trying an American style breakfast at a Mexican restaurant. I ordered scrambled eggs w/cheese, sausage and hotcakes. The food was amazing. The hotcakes were fluffy and delicious, the eggs were perfect and covered with cheese and the sausage was fantastic. Most breakfast places I visit, by the time the food comes out, it's not really hot anymore, but here, the food came out fresh off the stove on a heated plate so watch your fingers, lol. I loved it. The coffee was stronger than I expected, but still robust and flavorful without any bitterness. . My only complaint is that they don't have 2% milk, only whole. The service is friendly, which is exactly what I expected from a quaint little restaurant. The servers make you feel comfortable and they actually seem to care about you enjoying your visit. The atmosphere is relaxing. A perfect little restaurant. This was a great experience and I encourage everyone to come out here. I can't wait to try their lunch/dinner menu.
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in KC. I judge first by the beans, second by trying as many traditional dishes as I can. I've been here many times, and I always love what I am served. Service is always great. It's not huge in there so it's possible you'll have to wait. Cocktails are a little over-priced but the price point everywhere else is good.
Came here with my daughter and ordered the fajita burrito. A small out of the way cafe. Salsa was very good. Rice and beans were average. My burrito was hot but was not well made with all the veggies on one side and the meat on the other.
Service was good but a little slow. Restaurant was very clean all around. I will be back to try something else next time. My daughter loved her food.
We were craving tacos and saw the reviews and decided to try this place. We were not disappointed. We both got street tacos. He got one of each, pork, steak and chicken and I got the pork and steak. So yummy! The charro beans were nice and smoky. Rice was flavored well and the margarita was yummy too! Highly recommend! It's not much to look at from the outside but food was worth the drive!
