I had been searching for a place with African cuisine and my experience was grand. The food is so flavorful and delicious. The service was swift and polite. I’d advise anyone to try.
I came to Kansas City on a two day visit, and I was worried I wouldn’t find an African cuisine.. and then I found this place. The food is exceptionally good, and the service is top notch. I love it there and I recommend this place to everyone who loves good food.
I enjoyed Fannie's a lot. The owners cook and operate the facility. Bringing African food to KC is something I never thought I'd find here. I tried a couple of their favorite dishes and loved every bite. I'd highly recommend stopping in.
My husband and I make it a point to visit Fannie's every time we are in Kansas City. We love the food and everyone there is always so nice and remembers us when we visit! You can't go wrong with the Egusi and pounded yam. We obviously couldn't wait long enough to take a picture of the food before we ate it.
An unexpected, yet deliciously pleasant surprise. I had my first taste of West African cuisine and was left speechless. This small place is West African run and manned. I was overwhelmed with the flavors and pleasing aroma. I had previously been told that West African food was full of flavors, although I had no reason to doubt that statement, i can now confirm that they use a vast array of complementary flavor profiles. In addition, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only hold back from a 4.5 or 5 star is that I would have to be have visited this place on several occasions and received consistent quality and service. I don't yet have that experience. But, try it and let us know what you think.
