Golden Ox

Golden Ox atmosphere is nice. I had prime rib (38 was great), partner had kc strip (47). Kc strip was a good size, was asked for medium, but probably was more medium-rare (still delicious and all gone).

Everything a-la carte.

The sides were ok, lobster & Mac n cheese (11) HUGE LETDOWN. Mashed potatoes (7) was the better side IMO.

Golden Ox great location, I feel they thrive off of their reputation from the past. For what you get, I feel this place is over priced.

I'd give like a 4.1, at most 4.2. People probably need to try it once, but chances are I will not be revisiting.

We reserved the chef's table and had a blast! What a great time and excellent food and service! We will need to do this again! Thank you to the great couple who made our dinner a wonderful experience!

The pork chop is not to be missed. It is incredible!!! Such a great spot and ambiance. Craig is a fantastic waiter. Love, love, love this place.

Be prepared to read menus by candlelight because it's dim. There's light enough to enjoy the excellent food and slow down your fast-paced life. This isn't McDonald's. You will wait for the smoky roast meats.

Really neat old-school vibe. Drinks were excellent and the waiter was attentive. A little bummed to learn they were out of oysters after trying to order our appetizer. We ordered a rare steak and salmon. The steak was perfectly cooked but the salmon wasn’t anything exciting. Overall, great experience and look forward to visiting again to try more of the menu.
