I just had my first opportunity to take advantage of their web ordering and curbside pickup. The entire experience was fantastic and I have to thank them for having a easy to navigate website, designated pickup parking and a first class staff (as usual). So many merchants have poorly and hastily set up websites/delivery service and you can feel the attitude that they really do not want to do curbside pickup. I have been a customer of RC's for years and will continue to be loyal and always referring them to friends. Thank you RC's for caring that your staff and customers stay safe and healthy.

This is often a place we start out with a nice dinner, and it always turns into moving upstairs to enjoy the bar side. Great staff and bartenders (Cody S.). Love that they are open until 3am. Our friends brought us here last night for dinner. This was our first time. We greatly enjoyed the family atmosphere and the chicken dinner for four family style. Nice helpful staff. We’ll be back.

What a fun place! We were upstairs in the back in the game room. Food was delicious. Many of us ate different foods and everyone was quite pleased with their choice. Our waitress gave excellent service, we never wanted for anything. We had a party of 14 and we were not her only customers. She was friendly, courteous. We had a memorable time. It was our 1st time there and we will definitely go back.

Access is easy, directly off of 135th street into the parking lots. Plenty of parking was available over lunchtime because of the number of spaces. There was no wait at that time and they have several rooms to accommodate many group sizes. There is an upstairs but because of time, did not explore that far. Maybe next time. The food was reasonably priced with plenty of variety on the menu. The staff was friendly and efficient, and not overbearing. Just the right touch. ????. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

There will be fights. But not before take-out boxes full of hefty golden crispy chicken pieces, nostalgic mashed potatoes and gravy spilling over green beans get home. Then it wil rightfully make you doubt who has the best pan fried chcken dinners in the Kansas City area worth a little drive.

Sure, I've had the famous guilty pleasure of pairing steamy but crisp chicken with cinnamon rolls and the simple German influenced ones in Pittsburg, KS with their tangy potato salad. But I hate waiting hours to get seated or driving down desolate cropland roads just for a signature side dish.

The chicken is what's important. RC's pan-fried technique delivers extra crisp lightly breaded pieces for chicken dinners and many other menu items. The tender livers, chewy gizzards, large succulent breasts, dark meat done just right, and the crispy wings arriving at the table should draw a gasp. Our party was reduced to talking in single letters... "mmmmm." A correct frying temp and the thick double dipped coating used to hide smaller chickens wasn't needed which resulted in less grease and a lighter meal. They even eschewed the old school heavy seasoned salt flavoring for a truer chicken flavor.

Endless stiff mashed potatoes with thick white chicken gravy, canned green beans, and simple biscuits with honey and butter, all like I grew up with here in KC, were true to tradition. Even the flavorful chicken noodle soup was a standout.

And who can argue with the value? The chicken dinner for four came to $40 making it easy to finish up with a very sharable portion of homemade cobbler. And that supper for four translates to a full tummy and three or four full Styrofoam clamshells for later.

The dining room is cool and spacious, parking is plentiful, service is excellent (thanks, Ryan!), and friendly family pictures adorn the walls. You'll start to argue when someone else plans for nearby Jess and Jim's, Martin City Brewery, or the other chicken places in town, but it will be worth it in the end.
