South of Summit Taqueria & Tequila

Great neighborhood spot, apps are nice to share, quesadilla is awesome! Great selection of salsas and spice. Can’t go wrong with any of the tacos. Happy to have another quality restaurant in the Waldo area.

I am over these places with the uncomfortable chairs. Nothing says, "We don't want you to be here very long" like them. So, I only ordered one taco.

The margaritas are very good. I rarely like them from bars but my friend insisted I try it.

Service was ok. Chips and salsa ok. My taco was ok. My friend has been here several times and really likes it. The people next to us had the cheese curd taco and loved it so much they ordered another.

Food was great. Everything tasted really fresh. The steak was thin and pink which means they were really paying attention. You could tell it was grilled over fire. The black beans and rice were incredible. The beans were fresh and lightly seasoned and the rice was like risotto. The margarita was great. The staff was friendly. I am definitely going back.

This is a cool new place to checkout. To start the inside is nice. I like the decor they chose. Everyone seemed to be really friendly. The food was also yummy. Chips and salsa were great. I was disappointed that they use plastic dishes for a lot of the sauces and dips. Wish they would use a real dish. I ordered the sangria and to get frank it was terrible. Tasted like cheap white whine and tequila. Wish I would have gotten something else. Overall I would give 3 stars. Good but room for improvement. Hope to try it again at a later date.

I'll start off with the good... I got the carne asada tacos. I really like the flavor of the meat and the cilantro, onion, and radish toppings complimented the meat well. However I did not like the blue corn tortillas, they seemed a bit rubbery. I also did not like the tortilla chips. They were very thick and had an odd consistency. I did really like the salsa it came with.

I will go back and try other dishes.
