Torchy's Tacos

The food was just like I remembered from trips to Texas. The service was fine given the crowds and pandemic, a couple small issues but nothing to keep me from recommending this place. Lots of outdoor seating and once you have your order they find you at your table so I could avoid the crowd. The tacos are huge and two is a meal so the price isn’t that bad. I got the brushfire and the trashy trailer park.

I went here with a friend who had heard about it from friends. I read some reviews before going and wasn't sure what to expect. Many people said the tacos are too expensive, but for the size of the taco and location of the restaurant I thinks it's reasonable. I loved the textures in my taco. I got a trashed trailer park. The flavor was good as well. The elotes, street corn, had a great presentation but the flavor and texture wasn't quite there. It needed more mayo or similar texture for that authentic Mexican street corn feel. They were a bit spicy, which is a plus. Good food, though it didn't wow me. I plan to return and try other tacos.

Overall this was done pretty well. Being that I have visited several in Texas and begged them to come to town, I am overall happy to enjoy the food locally.

The staff was busy and it's a pandemic so I understand customer service can be a little lacking. Otherwise, the food was good. The drinks were good. It was a little more expensive than I remember it being in Texas. Not sure if that is also due to the pandemic, new opening, distance from original franchise location... regardless it was worth it.

Overall very good and will go back for more!

My first visit to the Torchy's Tacos KC location was great! The "Green Chile Queso", beef fajitas, and chicken fajitas (I tried) were delicious! The cocktails and margaritas (other guests were ordering) looked tasty as well, and I'm looking forward to trying those next time - when I don't have a long drive ahead of me. Thanks for the great food and friendly service!
