“Happy food dance! The look and feel of this place is awesome. I loved the fire pit in the rear patio. The biscuits and gravy are top notch! They go beyond the basics and have a thick full savory flavor. The biscuits themselves are buttery, light, and flaky. The bacon that comes with the dish is also top notch. The eggs are steamed, they have a very consistent texture and are cooked excellently. The turkey cranberry sandwich was also very good. The turkey seemed to be fresh sliced and the bread hit the spot. I had a great experience here; I think you will too!”

“Truly a great experience. My group of 6 accidentally booked a reservation at the Mexico City located and showed up at the KC location. They were so accommodating and fit us in in 5-10 minutes. Our server was great and very knowledgeable about the menu. The owner/chef came up and chatted with us. Overall, an incredible dining experience. I would recommend this place to anyone.”

“Great cafe for coffee and cafe dining, highly recommend the flights of coffee to enjoy the variety of flavors. Excellent tamales and the beans with green Chiles are delightful. Flavors of all items are wonderful and you can tell many items are made from scratch. Great space for spending your day enjoying good coffee, great food, and smoothies.”

“I have been here a few times and I will continuing eating here. The staff is wonderful. The food is delicious, hot, and plentiful. The prices are extremely fair for made to order food. They have great Philly sandwiches and hot dogs. Also, try a double cheeseburger and fries. You will enjoy it and walk away happy. Seating is limited during the holidays but there are plenty of seating options down the hall.”

“Incredible and friendly staff. Had the Butter chicken, Mango lassi and my husband got something else I can’t remember the name for. It was fantastic! Best birthday lunch ever!”

“I was honestly surprised by the quality of the food here. I ordered the Beef Lo Mein and my boyfriend had the one entrée meal with Sesame Chicken and lo mein. They cooked my Beef Lo Mein fresh and the beef was -incredibly- tender. Chinese takeout beef has no business being as pleasantly tender as it came out in my order. The mushrooms and broccoli were good as well. It wasn't overly oily, which was nice. My only complaint/suggestion is that the dish could improve with some minced garlic and possibly some scallions added in for extra flavor. The Sesame Chicken seemed like pretty average fare, it didn't stand out spectacularly but was nice and hot despite being under a heat lamp for however long. The service was average, but I did notice they -do- charge for a water cup (about $0.25 if I recall correctly). Drinks run about $2.00 more or less, and I'm not quite sure if they offer refills. I honestly didn't expect much for it being more of a tourist-ridden place but the beef in the beef lo mein was really really good for no apparent reason. It was also cheaper than the one entrée meal, so I'd recommend ordering the beef lo mein if nothing else.”

“Wonderful location in the Crown Center. The location is easily accessible and they offer dine in (with window views) or a quick bite option. Staff was very attentive and friendly and most importantly the food was amazingly good. I had a meat platter (brisket and burnt ends) and my daughter a burnt ends sandwich. All of the food, including the sides, tasted great and was well priced.”

“I dined here 12/17/2022 at approximately 5:30 PM. This place is always busy. I waited in line 10-15 minutes to order. They assemble your order while you watch with pre-cooked meat, beans, cheese and other toppings. The food was good, and the portions were plentiful for the price. The restaurant seems awkwardly designed. I had to pass a lot of tables to get in line. The line blocked the drink fountains. Straws, napkins and other needed items were stored next to the drink fountains. When you pay for your order and get a cup you need to start back at the beginning and squeeze through the line again to get your drink. Everything is backwards. People cannot easily leave their tables after eating because the line traps them. The employees were all working hard, and they were friendly. They are understaffed. The floors were dirty. I had a difficult time finding a clean table. I found one that was acceptable except for the trash on the floor under the table. We couldn't discard our trash as we were leaving because all of the trash receptacles were overflowing. The trash and plastic trays were piled up on the receptacles. I will give them another try. I think they were severely understaffed for this busy season.”

“Delicious! This place has great value for the freshness, taste, atmosphere and service. I had the lunch deal (Mini Mia) which is your choice of pizza + salad or soup. They worked with me on switching my pizzas ingredients to fit my wants! I will be back and definitely recommend. There is even a day of the week kids eat free!”

“We had Unforked for lunch and it didn't disappoint. The avocado taco and pork taco were delicious. The hubby had the pure burger on gluten free bun and the sweet potato and I must say the cheese sauce on the set potatoes is so good. Our kids had the chicken sandwich basket medium heat and chicken tenders. Everything taste wonderful.”

“One of the main things we'd heard from friends about Fritz's was "the food is average" or "you don't go for the food". But my wife and I and our daughter went for the first time in late August 2022 and overall everything was great. Obviously it was super busy being a Saturday, but we only waited about 10-15 minutes to get in. Service was quick and mostly friendly, and we thought the food was great (double cheeseburger, strawberry shake, and pork tenderloin sandwich). The fries were just average. Overall a solid first experience. And obviously our daughter loved the trains.”

“Manny’s has always been one of our go-to places for Mexican. Never a disappointment: staff is super friendly, entrees are consistently excellent and served hot and fresh. And the guacamole is WONDERFUL! They are busy because they are sooo good! The atmosphere is perfect for Mexican food, and my only complaint is lack of convenient parking.”

“The overall customer service experience was just above average. The whole dining experience was so rushed for this price point, but it was a Saturday night. However, the food and beverage we had were simply delicious, so I would come back. I think next time I would come on a week night. Also, I would recommend ordering off the menu versus the the trio of pasta offering. The pastas were good but you could tell they are made in batches.”

“The burger is great. Not sure exactly what they do but it's some magic in how they grill up the onions. Wish I had got another one it was that dang good! The chili cheese fries were good too. Nothing fancy but still a nice addition to the burger. Can't go wrong with this place and they open 24 hrs. That's winning.”

“We are tourists to the KC region and were told that Jack Stack was THE barbecue spot! This place did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the restaurant was outstanding! James was amazing and gave us a great patio seat (even though the restaurant was packed). Josh was our server and was kind, helpful, and very attentive to our dietary needs (allergies). For anyone with dietary preferences, take note: Jack Stack BBQ has a fantastic allergen menu that identifies the common allergens in each menu item! This was perfect for us and immensely helped us with our dinner selection. The service was great and the food was exceptional. Thank you James and Josh for a fantastic barbecue experience in Kansas City!”

“Just got here in KC and Grünauer was our first place to visit and grab lunch. It definitely exceeded our expectations. We had six people in our party and had no problems getting seated. Atmosphere was super cool being that it looked like a refurbished building. The service was outstanding. Mario was our waiter and explained everything on the menu and offered perfect suggestions to our party. If your looking for exceptionally good German food this is a must have.”

“We had a lovely brunch on Saturday morning. Service was friendly, efficient, attentive and welcoming. We started out with an order of biscuit and gravy which I failed to get a picture of because we devoured it so quickly. Nicely made biscuit with a wonderfully seasoned gravy. A bit more gravy would would have been nice and I’m sure they would have been brought if asked. The corn beef hash was flavorful with chunks of corn beef, gravy and potatoes with a very runny egg which could been cooked every so slightly more to thicken yolk. Quiche was of a vegetable variety and not particularly in keeping with the rest of the meal. It was rather like firm scrambled eggs with veggies in a crust. I’d order something else next time. Bloody Mary was tasty with good bit of spice. Coffee was hot and plentiful. We will go back again.”

“The store is presented pretty nicely. The cashier was friendly. They were pretty light on the prepared meals but the items I picked up were good. The only complaint I have is that it is a bit high in price. While good it is certainly not something I could afford to go to too often.”

“Was there for dinner on Easter Sunday celebrating by birthday. One of the top meals I’ve had in KC. Not only was the food amazing but the atmosphere makes it a whole experience. The server easily answered our questions and the cocktails were delicious. I hope I get to eat here again.”

“Nice little cozy bar, relaxed atmosphere with couch, table and bar seating as well as a pool table and shuffleboard. I came here on a Monday night and there were a few others, not too busy. I loved the ambiance. The staff was very friendly especially Nicholas, Kelly and Bradley. I didn't try the food yet because the restaurant was closed but I will definitely be back and I highly recommend.”

“It was a wonderful surprise. The noodle dish and appetizers were very good. What stood out for me was how perfect everything was cooked. My favorite of all with my order was the Fried Avocado's. Perfectly Breaded and then deep fried. When I bit into a section I checked out of this world... Crunchy on the outside and perfectly creamy on the inside. A must try.”

“Had a great experience at Society for brunch! Live music made it even more fun, and it was not too loud so we could still enjoy company and catching up. We tried lots of items, including some not pictured here. Service was very friendly and informative. The prices are great. They do offer bottomless mimosas if that's what you're looking for in a brunch. The menu has offerings for everyone. GET THE PRIME RIB SANDWICH! And the tater tots. There's a parking garage a couple of blocks away, and street parking - although in this area it can be scarce. Entrance is accessible, as are restrooms, which are gender neutral. Design of the interior is really beautiful! Chairs are super comfy. There's a couple of rooms so it'd be a great place for a large group or for experiencing their nightlife scene. But check it out for brunch, like we did.”

“Wonderful anniversary place. Clean, tidy, elegant. Had one of the best steaks of my life. I can't remember what topping it was, but it was cooked perfectly. Bone marrow was savory. Romantic, yet busy. I would like to come back someday. Our waiter was very attentive.”

“Inside the union station this unique restaurant has been around for years and is a fun place to eat while enjoying all that the union station has to offer. A great location in the grand lobby of the old train station with its high ceilings and majestic architecture. Breakfast is served until 11 am . The selection is great and the service was good . Our food was tasty but slow to arrive and not hot when it did finally arrive. I want to try the Sunday brunch since it sounds so good and I will update my review when I do. The prices are rich and the parking costs are reasonable .”

“I drove 25 mins to check this place out. The chicken was awesome, lots of flavor and I didn't need my favorite sauce it was so good. The beans were really good with just the right amount of seasoning and the rice was moist (to those that can't stand that word, sorry, not sorry) and flavourful. Came with corn tortillas, cooked onion and cooked peppers. Will definitely eat there again!!”
