Summit Hickory Pit BBQ

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining in at summit hickory pit bbq. We order the burnt ends and queso chips appetizer first. The dip was outstanding. Would be great for fries too. We also had a jalapeño margarita, “sweet and spicy” b beverage, which is a good margarita where the sweetness of the lime hits you then you get a little mild burn from the jalapeño. This is a must try. The smoked Ruben was very lean and tasty. The big sausage had great flavor with just a mild bit of spicy. Our service as fast and friendly from Colin. This will be a regular visiting place for us!

Great service, really enjoyed the food. Good selection of meat. The pulled pork was great. Highly recommended the bread pudding for dessert

We accidentally bumped into this restaurant. I pulled in the parking lot to go online to see the menu, when a very nice worker came out and helped me. He was knowledgeable with the menu and I ordered everything from the car. He was patient and very pleasant towards me. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE....Neway..I received my food (did not wait long by the way) and the food was excellent as well...Good proportions!!!...We shall be back!!!!

I took food out to go at 3pm on a Sunday. I'm sorry to say, the food was very sub-par. This was by far one some of the driest meat I've had in my BBQ tour of KC. Perhaps it was the time of day? I had burnt ends and pulled pork. The beans were tasty, that's the only compliment on the food I have. But as a side, I was disappointed in the portion. The price point at Summit is very reasonable. The young man who helped me place my order was extremely friendly.

Loved it, somehow it lived up to the K.C. BBQ reputation. I say that because my expectations were sky high. Everything was amazing, the wings, ribs, pulled pork, and burnt ends.

The BBQ and Cajun sauce was amazing.
The service was great, so is the atmosphere. I just wish it was closer to Toronto.
