The Filling Station

We enjoyed the BBQ and especially the baked beans last night. We have a tradition that on our son's birthday we go to a different BBQ of his choice. We were not disappointed on his choice this year. We will definitely be back. Thanks for making this a successful birthday for him!

Brisket a little inconsistent. Cold and warm. Tough and tender. In a 1lb order. Slight smoke ring but little smoke flavor. Regular sauce has best flavor. Beans are sweet with rib tips mixed in ( they were a little tough). Friendly service. Decent price for the offering.

Interesting place but rib tips are not the real thing. Crumbled up dry meat. Missing all the fat and everything that makes it good. I'm not on a diet when I eat ribs. Although, the ribs are very good

A Kansas City tradition to have BBQ at an old renovated gas station. I went with the pulled pork and sweet potato fries. The fries were nice and crispy on the outside with a fluffy inside (like they are supposed to be). Seasoned just right. The pulled pork was succulent and had great flavor on its own without sauce. I love the older forty's style diner mixed theme with some really interesting nostalgia thrown on the wall. Major kudos for not playing xmas music. The place was very clean and quiet. The service was super fast and friendly. While I didn't get a smile with my order, I wasn't yelled at halfway across the parking lot begging for my order either (Gates BBQ is famous for that). The spicy/hot BBQ is just right for me. They also have a regular and a sweet sauce. Looking over the menu, there was also an option for carolina style (thinking might be moonshine or similar, didn't try it). Smelled great walking in the door. An excellent place to take a date for BBQ.
