We had a nice day after Christmas meal here and it delivered so well. The rice was cooked to perfection and the katsu chicken is some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. I also tried the pork and steak and they were both perfectly cooked and the steak was so flavorful. Their sauces are delicious and a must have with the pork and a great addition to everything else. I had the chocolate cookie and it was so decadent I had to save some for later. The service was quick and they were so nice and genuine. Couldn't recommend this place enough!
This experience was pleasant. The food was hot, fresh, very flavorful, and there was about a 5 minute wait (For fresh steak). For the caliber of food served I would consider this fairly fast service. The employees were knowledgeable of items served and helpful. The multiple choices of entrees i feel gives them an advantage over Hawaiian Bros (Direct Competitor). Something different, other than the average fast food choices. I would definitely revisit this restaurant even if it means more driving. Just make sure you bring your wallet.
LOOOOOVE ME SOME MO'BETTAHS!! 😋What can I say other than go get you some!! The katsu chicken is SOOO good. It's scrumptious, crispy (don't forget the sauce) and definitely my favorite thing on the menu! Overall, the food is authentic and delicious! The manager, Layrell, did a great job with her crew. She came out to see if we needed anything and if we enjoyed our food. All were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Tried this yesterday. Service was fast and very friendly. Food was hot and fresh. Pulled pork, teriyaki steak, and shrimp tempura were all good. The sauces were not to my taste. I personally like a sweeter sauce and these were more of a salty/savory/spicy type. We will probably be going to Hawaiian Bros from now on but simply because the seasoning is more to our taste preferences. This restaurant is good and worth a try! Expect to pay $15-$20 per person.
This is by far the closest to Seattle teriyaki I've had here in KC (including that place in Overland Park that has the gall to advertise Seattle style). That said, it's still not quite right, but I'll eat here while my search continues. The couch kitten is cooked well, with actual sear marks, but not sliced. The sauce on the chicken is slightly spicy, which isn't right, but my husband gave his steak rave reviews. Rice is rice. I like the macaroni salad better than Hawaiian Bros, but that's not saying much. The salad is where they got me. Seattle teriyaki has a cold salad, mostly iceberg lettuce, with a sweet kind of Asian coleslaw type sauce. The salad here, with the Asian sauce, was... close? I'll be back to try more dishes, for sure.
