I came here because it had nice reviews. I'm from out of town. I guess I came in on an off day. I ordered the TJs Cafe special. The plate serving was large and looked like a pretty mountain all covered in gravy. My eggs and ham were cooked nicely. The hashbrowns were completely burned and not drained. The biscuit on the bottom was full of grease. My waitress did not tell me about any specials, she never came by the table to check on my coffee. However she was prompt with the check when I pushed my plate away. The cashier was very sweet and nice she asked me if I told my server I said no. I probably would have told my server if she bothered to come back to the table. I heard other servers taking to the customer. So I guess they were having a bad day. But it was disapointing.

This place is legit for classic home cooked foods. As a traveler away on business it was amazing to get some food which felt prepared by my wife. Had the chicken fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, and onion rings. Finished with warm peach pie and vanilla icecream. If you're local I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Enjoy!

Great spot! Thanks for the friendly service and delicious food! The French toast and biscuits and gravy were delicious! The ultimate omelette was ULTIMATE! If we ever come through town again we will definitely stop! Wish I would’ve been able to try the broccoli cheese soup but I was too full! Let me not forget that we tried the cinnamon roll as an appetizer 😋 no pics as 7 of us devoured all the food so fast!

We discovered this place soon after moving to the neighborhood and stopped in to give it a shot. Boy are we glad we did!

These are great people, with excellent service and some of the best home-cooked meals you'll ever find.

Price is very reasonable and portions are generous. If you like Cracker Barrel, you'll love TJ's Cafe!

This joint gets 4.6 stars, and I can see why. I was looking for a good tenderloin sandwich, and my go-to was closed on Mondays, so I tried TJ's. Glad I did. I've had cracker-breaded and flour-egg-flour before, but never cornmeal breaded. I guess one could call it Southern style. Really good, seasoned to perfection. Oh, and it truly was Giant! Big enough to stack double decker, and the bun is no slouch, but you'll never get your mouth around it. Super friendly servers, nice welcoming atmosphere. In a conversation with another diner, I learned that this is not their first go-round; a previous restaurant was lost to fire nearby several years ago, so they took over this spot when it went vacant and turned it into something really good. Nice menu variety, can't wait to come back and try something else.
