The Chive Simply Good Cafe & Market

Our out-of-town party stopped at Transparent Brewing in the late evening, and we were lucky to find The Chive. We had holiday goodies, and the food and service were excellent. We'd love to come back for a meal next time we're in town, especially for the farm-to-table options.

We went on a Friday evening. It absolutely took me bu surprise! The food at the Chive Cafe was 100% amazingly delicious and healthy! Such a pleasant fresh local menu. I had the portobello mushroom wrap and it did not disappoint!!! Highly recommend it! And Transparent brewing had a delicious selection of their own micro brews. I enjoyed the pale ale and the Octoberfest.. We will definitely eat and drink here again, please help support locally owned small businesses in KC MO.

We stopped as we passed through on a road trip and will definitely stop again on the next! Service was more than excellent, the locally-sourced food was perfectly made (and very unique in menu and preparation), and the beer choices were fantastic. They had a little something for everyone in our family of 4 and we all walked away stuffed and happy.

Unbelievable customer service, local variety and food! The shop is absolutely adorable with a selection of local produce, indoor and outdoor seating and specialty items. Everything on the menu was very fresh, over 80% local, and very very very tasty! John was very kind and friendly and let us know that they change their menu weekly, they make all homemade breads, they recycle and compost their waste which means we just have to come back weekly! To be so local, the prices are great! You can get a meal from 8.00 - 17.00! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

Farm fresh locally sourced ingredients, bread made on-site, produce that you can buy to make your own recipes at home. Yeah this is a place that I want to frequent. I had the trout sandwich and it was just right. The trout was not hot so chilled to perfection. But they can wrap dates with balsamic glaze or a great appetizer to start us off. Definitely a place I will keep going back to.
