Ghetto Tacos

I walked past the truck on my way out of the Webb City Farmers Market, but the delicious smell brought me back. The steak tacos and the chorizo tacos were excellent, and the chorizo wasn't greasy like it can be. Not that I'm against greasy food when it's good. The chicken seemed a bit overdone and dry, but I did take it home and it sat in the styrofoam container while I put up the fresh veggies I'd bought, so it's possible that kept it overheated.

The street corn was tempting, but I wasn't sure it'd travel well and might make a mess in the car. Luckily, they have street corn in a cup as an option. It reminds me of being a little kid and Mom making me get an ice cream cone in a cup so I wouldn't get it all over me and everything else. The roasted corn was layered with cheese, chili powder, and sauce - sort of a corn parfait - and was delicious! Honestly, I think I ended up with a larger serving than if I'd gotten the ear of corn. It was a lot easier to eat, too.

I'm keeping an eye out for the Ghetto Tacos truck from now on, the food is affordable and delicious!

OMG. These are killer street tacos. The steak is tender and flavorful. I usually like chicken but in this case my favorite is the steak.

Although I’m not a fan of the corn tortillas , i did enjoy the taste of the meat. I had the steak and the pork and they were yummy .
