“This is such an interesting building and I would have liked being able to explore more! This building was built in the early 1900's and is an historical landmark. As a restaurant, Wilder's is the oldest, continuously and locally owned restaurant in Joplin. Some of the other reviews mentioned an odor to the restaurant, and there is a light musty odor when you first walk in but I forgot all about it before even getting to the table. The decor is gorgeous, especially the detail on the ceiling and the bar, which is a focal point of the dining area. I had duck breast with a mushroom, potato, and sweet potato hash, topped with a fried egg and a side of truffle macaroni and cheese. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent. Our waiter was very well-balanced in his attention to our table. Attentive but not intrusive, which showed his skill and experience. The owner also stopped by our table to thank us for coming and to check on the quality of our meal. This is a higher priced locale, so be prepared for that, but I felt that it was worth it. Would definitely recommend!”

“Absolutely our favorite place to eat in Joplin! You can tell how much the staff cares about what they do not just because of the friendly atmosphere, but also the excellent, unique menu. My wife loves their gluten-free options and I always love their ever-changing specials. These folks take pride in their work and it shows in everything about their restaurant. Seating can be a little limited so get there as soon as you can, but we've also never had to wait on a table. If you're in Joplin, this is a must.”

I recommend trying it for your family as it will easily feed 4-5 people without a doubt. “The hamburgers here are made with the best-tasting beef. They are perfectly cooked. The fries are freshly cut "home-fries," completely different from fast-food fries. The fries are seasoned with your choice of seasonings, and there is a special 'Stache sauce, which is a bit spicy, that pairs perfectly with them. They're not cheap - a single cheeseburger and fries will cost you about $7, but they're made-to-order and they're excellent.”

“With most gas stations using up to 10% Ethanol in their gas, I have been looking for a gas station that has gas with little to no Ethanol. I asked the clerk and lady if their gas contained Ethanol and they stated only a minimal amount. The problem I am having with my vehicle is the "tighten gas cap" warning light will come on when I fill up at Caseys, Kum and Go, and Sams Club. I filled up at Doc Stop last night and so far no issues with the gas cap warning light. I went in the convenience store to fill up my water jug and noticed it was very clean and organized. Prices seemed fair and I wish they served Chicken other than tenders like they used to! I was impressed at how friendly the clerk and lady was here and will definitely come back as long as their gas doesn't include up to 10% Ethanol! “Orders are always accurate, even tricky ones where I want specific things done in a specific way. The delivery drivers are great because they just give you your food and go on their way. No weird conversations or any sort of overly friend politeness. It's a simple transaction. I also have special instructions (please don't ring doorbell, knocking is fine). I have it this way because the doorbell scares my cat. I don't tell them this, but they follow the special instructions every time, and myself and my old man cat are thankful of that. Food is good. And reasonably priced. The $5.99 deal for two items is great and one that I use frequently when I don't want to cook. There's a good variety and something for everyone.”

“Went to the one on Maiden Lane. They were pretty quick to get our order ready and it was nice temperature. I had "naked" chicken as I didn't want the breading. It wasn't bad I liked their vegetables, my daughter says the rice and egg rolls are delicious. So if you want a healthier version of Chinese food this is the place.”
