When I entered the food court at Northpark Mall on a scorching September afternoon, I was bewildered. So many restaurants to choose from! It was absolutely imperative to select the best one, so I felt it was necessary to consult my brother, Bryan Cranston, about the matter. When I dialed his number, he informed me that he was in a very important meeting with Amazon Prime, but my matter was obviously of greater importance. He finally yelled, "Ryan, my brother, you've got to try Charleys Philly Steaks, the best Philly Steaks outside of Philly!" He then hung up immediately, most likely so I could get to the restaurant as soon as i could. And I was not disappointed, as my brother, Bryan Cranston, was right as rain as always!
Great food, very friendly staff, food very hot in temperature. We had to wait a few minutes to eat our food as to not burn our mouths, it was so fresh. No problem getting my drink refilled either which is sometimes challenging at mall food court places.
Got our order wrong. If you are going to order straight off the menu I’m sure it would be fine but I wouldn’t trust them with requests. The woman who helped us ignored requests and read exactly off a script taped to the registers. Food order was completely wrong. Saving grace they did give us our money back when we refused the food. Second employee that helped us with that seemed much better. It was a shame really. Hopefully their staff does better in the future. Location seemed clean enough and got there wasn’t a long wait.
If you are ordering something off the menu, as is or with little alterations, this Charlie’s will be great. It looked clean and well maintained. If you need alterations, I wouldn’t eat here. I have digestive issues and avoid certain foods for comfort issues. When ordering, the cashier did not listen to my order and repeatedly tried to move through my order with out listening to me. After finally getting my order, in the confusion, she forgot to make sure not to have veggies put on it. After taking a closer look at the order, I realized I could not eat it with out any issues and took it back. They took it back and gave us a refund. So, if for any reason you have a need to have alterations done or have a special order, I would not order here. If not, please do. Besides the cashier I delt with, they seemed fine.
