The Russell House Restaurant Inn and Brewery

My wife and I went on a Thursday evening. We were very surprised to find that it did not get very busy. With that, we found that service and the food came very quickly. Everything we ordered was very well done and very delicious. I highly recommend the Armadillo Eggs for an appetizer.

Great wine selection, great draft beer selection, not to mention they also brew their own beer! The atmosphere and the way the employees were dressed was that of a much nicer restaurant, though my wife and I were the only two customers dressed up.

The food was excellent. Although they brought out a sandwich when I ordered the most expensive steak on the menu. All the food is at the table in 20 minutes and the service was excellent. My wife had to sit there for 20 minutes though waiting for me to finish my steak after I finally got it but no complaints because it was all delicious. I would suggest adding more general sides like green beans and corn because there's not much to choose from if you don't like potatoes and coleslaw. Their lobster crab cake is to die for. A little small for the price but well worth it and I definitely will be ordering more. It was a little disappointing looking at the view outside of the window. All you see is unfinished Landscaping, overgrown grass and weeds. They really should work on making the outside more pleasant to see.

This is a great restaurant located in Hillsboro, Missouri. It is a restored farm house. It has really cool scenery to look at as you eat. Great appetizers and main dishes. Mushrooms are good and so are the hot wings. We have been here several times and the food has always been above average. I would recommend this place for a night out.

This is the nicest venue in the area. You have a great selection of craft beers, many are brewed in house. The service is excellent. They have an outstanding menu appetizers lighter fare and also very nice dinners. One of my favorite places to go!
