El Monterrey Mexican Restaurant

Friendly! We were greeted with a show of missing my wife and me because we have not been in lately. The food is very good.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this restaurant is! My husband and I have been coming for years. We take all of our out of town family and they absolutely rave about it even after they have left! Best tacos in all of central MO, hands down. I have tried them from all around. Highly recommend to everyone!

We just had our first takeout tonight! Delicious!! And ready exactly when it was supposed to be. I was so sad to only see 1 other person there to pick up his order. I am hoping there were others that were getting some of their delicious food delivered or something during this trying time. Help support our local small businesses and restaurants if you can. We certainly want them to be around for us after all of this virus stuff is over. Thanks, El Monterey!

Ate here last night & everything was delicious! I got a tropical margarita & it was by far the best marg I’ve had. Food came out quickly & was amazing! Wait staff was amazing!

Had a great time having dinner with my love and family. The building is pretty new and is in great shape. The restaurant is clean and everyone is very friendly. They usually expect people to get up and pay at the register, but I'm a old fashioned about places that have wait staff that get tips and our waiter was accommodating and took the check up for me. On top of that the service he provided was great. I can remember his name, but a young hip white gentleman. He was fun and knowledgeable about the menu, but I stumped him on their beer selection, which is no surprise because it is huge and they have seasonal offerings.
