AJ’s Tex-Mex & BBQ

My boyfriends family is in here pretty often. This was my first time in and I had the nachos. Omg they were good.

The food wasn't that bad but don't expect to get your money worth. Small portions and the meat was dry.

Good quality and quantity. My brother loved the brisket and the salsa is delicious, not typical like other Mexican restaurants. Everything from the tacos to the sides were great! The Sunday pork tamale special were some of the best I’ve had. Look forward to trying the green Chile chicken ones next time if they haven’t run out!

The BBQ was very good but I thought it was a little expensive. I don't eat at enough BBQ places to compare the prices though. All in all I liked it but my budget will only let me eat there occasionally.

Menu needs to have more variety. They do not offer a kids menu. The nachos are okay, think concession stand, so not really worth the price. I expected the cheese to be better instead of a bland canned cheese anyone can purchase. The meat however had good flavor. It was very clean but everyone should have a hair net on up front where the food is being prepared. I think this can be a great place but needs a little work and a few things added to it.
