Food & service were great! I deducted stars for crowding and noise level. It was terribly loud when full. Could not hear dining companions. Finally used tissue in my ears to lower the high level of voices all around. We had to be let in the restaurant, so I was surprised to see that it was packed full. I'd presumed the locked door to the dining area was to limit guests to provide distancing. I was wrong! I would have left if it were not a first meal out with my mother in 3 years.

Wow! We were looking for a dinner stop just off 36 and just happened upon Los Chimas while searching on maps. This place is under rated at 4.8 in my opinion. Stellar food, excellent service ad friendly. The mocajete was the best I've had and big enough to split with my daughter. I'm making this my new go to spot while crossing Missouri.

The BEST food, service, atmosphere you’ll ever find at any restaurant. The food is a lot better then any Mexican restaurants I’ve been to all over MO. The staff is very friendly and patient with my family (3kids). They are very good at celebrating birthdays and special occasions. Definitely worth the drive to give this place a try! The small town feel with a big city restaurant.
