Eagles Nest Cafe

I've wanted to stop here for lunch or breakfast for a long time but timing never seemed to work until today.

Stepping into the Eagles Nest is like going back in time, it looks and feels like a old farm house but with a huge griddle in the kitchen.

I ordered their bacon double cheeseburger with onion rings and sat back to listen to the community conversation that was going on.

If you don't want to wait for your food or sit close to other people, you don't want to stop here. But, if those things don't bother you and you want a excellent burger, this is the place!

I was a little disappointed about the number of onion rings I got but they were fresh and hot and delicious. The burger was huge! I have XL hands and it took both to get it picked up!

I wish I would have saved room for dessert because their pies looked wonderful as well.

All in all, I want to go back.

Definitely a little jewel in the rural community. Great service and food was great. I really like that you get your eggs cooked exactly like you ordered. Have not ate lunch there but I hear it is great "home cook" style food

Great place for friends to visit while our order was prepared. Cheeseburger and fries plate was a hit with our guest. Husband chose the Grilled Tenderloin with fries. I also chose the Grilled Tenderloin with onion rings. The rings were hand made, which made them very delicious. Husband heard that the homemade pie was sold out - or he might have tried a slice.

Great lunch stop for locals. Friendly people. Food portions and price great. It's an old fashioned meat up type place for people who want friendly down home conversation with friends, neighbors and friendly strangers. The kind of place from a better time in America that I really enjoy.
