Wonderful place to dine-in. Great atmosphere and very friendly staffs. Really like the home-style food.
Awesome home style cooking. Wait staff is amazing. Brenda was very helpful and attentive! Everyone was super!
The Apple Basket Cafe served up a delightful meal, in this case a 10 oz butterflied pork chop with a pineapple glaze, mashed potatoes and fried mushrooms.
The pork chop was delicious and I think those may have been the tastiest fried mushrooms I've ever had in my life!
The dining room staff was very attentive and the hostess, who was an elderly lady, was delightful. If I had to think of one thing that could have improved it would the speed of the meal preparation -- I believe mine took 20 minutes, perhaps longer, but other than that I have absolutely no complaints about my experience there and hope to go back again.
We stopped through here today and grabbed some lunch on our way to Illinois. The staff was very friendly and service was great. The cook times were fast and served plenty of food for each dish. Highly recommend the catfish (special of the day) with chips and the baked apples. It's a little off the highway but so worth the extra mile. Also catfish was cleaned to perfection and was breaded in house too! Very old school homemade feeling.
This place was the nearest to our truck drop and we got to enjoy some really good food here! Not to mention the ladies were very sweet and service was really quick. My husband got a massive BLT, and I got a fresh cup of beef veggie stew with a strawberry short cake. It was all very very very delicious and we will be back next time we drive on through. Everyone in this town is so sweet and made our experience a memorable one!
