Every Time I make the Trip from KC to Branson/Table Rock, I'll be Stopping Here.
Rarely do you come across an establishment so aptly named that it is what it is named. The Bee's Knees Ale House is truly the bee's knees, cat's meow, etc. The food was great and the craft beer they make was delicious. They do flights of their concoctions and I highly recommend sampling as much as you can.
We started with the Toasted Ravioli ($8), a baker's dozen beef toasted raviolis dusted with parmesan cheese and served with their house-made marinara sauce. I loved it--my only recommendation would be to cook them for a minute or two less, that way they come out softer. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Shack Ranch ($9), a smoked pulled chicken breast tossed in buffalo sauce, red onion, blue cheese, bacon, and their house-made ranch on a brioche bun, and served with a side of mac-and-cheese. I substituted the ranch for blue cheese dressing--it was very good and I enjoyed the sandwich. My date ordered Veggie Pizza ($14) piled with chunks of green peppers, olives, mushrooms, red onions, and tomato. She loved it and ate it up. One kid ordered the adult Chicken Shack Ranch Sandwich ($8) with a side of apple sauce and the other ordered a kids 9" Cheese Pizza ($5). They gobbled it up and enjoyed it as well.
Overall, this was a great little brewpub nestled in the middle of Missouri and everyone should make this place a regular joint for meals and/or a pitstop driving through.
Staff was friendly and attentive. Waters and beers were always full and answered questions about the beer.
The pizza was amazing!!! A crispy bottom with a chewy crust.
Worth the drive if you do not live in area.
Great pizza.
Friendly staff.
A terrific Ale House.
Waited until our second visit to do a review. Both times we were greeted amazingly when we walked through the doors. Great first impression. I believe our servers name was Alex and she did not miss a beat with spot on service throughout. We ordered a dinner salad (again, because it was so good last time) and a thin crust pizza. The salad mix is a perfect balance between spring mix and a small amount of iceberg. Homemade dressings were amazing. We tried the ranch and blue cheese. Served in a big bowl so we could mix in the dressing to our taste and serve on to our plates. Nice amount of cheese, green peppers, croutons and black olives. We opted to leave onions off. The pizza was very good and the thin crust was thin but didn't make you feel like you were eating a cracker. We are not beer drinkers (wish we were because they all sounded great) but we do drink our vodka and they have that too. Drinks were mixed nicely. Fair price, great service and nice daily specials. Highly recommend. We are not super close to Bee's Knee's and have really no reason to visit Versailles Missouri, but we will go out of our way occasionally to enjoy this friendly and quality place.
