Sweetwater Bar-B-Que

This is a gem to find on 44 in Missouri. Best BBQ I’ve ever had? Nope, but way better than most.

Pulled pork sandwich was great. As can happen with BBQ, it was a tad dry, but with their spicy BBQ sauce on the side, I didn’t leave any behind.

If you don’t have their home made fried taters, you are truly missing out.

Baked beans were on the Meh! Side, but I have high expectations with beans. Pretty sure these actually got a turn in the smoker.

Portions are outstanding, you won’t leave hungry.

Prizing winning BBQ? Nope. But way closer to that goal than most. I recommend a stop in!

This restaurant is a nice little surprise on the I-44. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had the single plate of bbq brisket and it was excellent. I did think the BBQ sauce had a little too much sugar in it, bit it also had a really nice bite of spice to it. The potato salad was very good and the cole slaw was nice and tangy. The only downer I found is that there was some kind of weird black dust or grit in the water from the drink machine. Might be time to clean it.

BBQ was good for the area we are in. Tasted like a chain restaurant meat. Sides were Good. No need to rate the customer service as I ordered at the counter and all they did was bring me my food. Will I eat there again??? Probably.
