Wente's Defiance Roadhouse

First visit early June 2024. Not crowded, maybe 8 tables occupied. Lots of servers milling about but not one came to our table until I got up and hunted one down. I realize these may be new staff and I get it that they have to work the bugs out. We had to ask for everything: silverware, water, napkins, etc. We also never saw the same server twice. No one returned to our table to see if we needed anything else, like another round of beers. After 15 minutes of waiting for a server to return we gave up and asked for the check. The restaurant lost revenue due to inattentive servers. I hope they get their act together.

Pizza was very good. Skip the $5.99 garden salad. Served in something not much bigger than a coffee cup & only had lettuce & a little cheese....not worth the cost.
Area outside is wonderful. You're under a pavilion with fans going!!

Hopefully things improve as it would be great to have this as a reliable part of the local community. Definitely had some struggles on my first visit. They were understaffed, and my order was incorrect. Didn't complain as the server was really trying and hustling, but hoping for a much better experience next time.

I've been taking rides on my motorcycle for many years to the infamous Defiance "biker bars". I've always enjoyed Wente's original location in Chesterfield Valley. The owners, management and staff is top-notch. Cold drinks, great food, and entertainment. I'm extremely happy that B&M made this investment in our community bringing the ownership back to "locals". Do not hesitate, head down for great food, people, drink, live entertainment, cool bikes and rides.
