Hands down the only place you want to be for ramen and sushi in all of the St. Charles area. The owner and his son were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly creating a very warm atmosphere from the start. Our server Justin made things feel very cozy, like we were eating at our own home. The ramen broth alone is something to write home about (like literally to our neighboring galaxy). Top quality ingredients, I could eat off the floor, extremely fair prices, imported beers and huge wine list, modern minimalist decor, and hypnotizing aromatics, The Red Sun cannot be beat. It's our "new place" ????♥️????

Just tried this place tonight (8/17/19) on a whim and glad my wife and I stopped by. We had the red sun roll, the orange sun roll, and the salmon crunch roll. All three were great. Many places try to over stuff their rolls and make too large where you can't fit the sushi in your mouth, which takes away from the experience. These rolls were all tightly rolled and good ratios with all the ingredients. You could actually fit each piece in your mouth and taste everything together. We also had the spring rolls, and for once we had spring rolls that aren't greasy. These were absolutely delicious. And best part of this place are the prices. I feel that they charge a great price for the high quality they serve. It's a very clean restaurant with good service.

Keep this in mind though, it is a small business and if they are very slow on a given night, they might close a little earlier than their hours say. I personally feel this is fair, and I understand not staying open if there's an hour left and you have no tables. But hopefully that changes as more people try this gem. If more people show up, we can continue to have an awesome sushi place on main street. I know my wife and I both will be back for dinner in the near future.

Always great food and get service! Love their take on miso, and the takoyaki is amazing. I enjoy the sushi also, but a good deal of it is a California roll base. Though I may not be the biggest California roll fan, everything else about the sushi is top notch. Definitely recommend trying this place out, they even have some ramen fusion.

I tried the orange sun sushi and it was excellent. The staff was very friendly and was very knowledgeable with their menu. Will definitely revisit there soon. Thank you for an awesome meal!

Good asian food. Sushi was great. Small and quaint. Won't break the bank. Two can eat for under $30 no problem. Nice enough for date night. Wouldn't feel out of place if you decided to dress up but relaxed enough to show up in jeans and a t-shirt.
