Las Lajas Mexican restaurant

Very good food. Very fresh and authentic. Friendly, fast service and great value! Highly recommend it.

Would describe as "actually for real authentic" Mexican style. Other places have 'Americanized' their food. This is true devious food. It's nice the TV is playing in Spanish. I hope for the best for Las Lajas

All the usual places were packed so we googled Mexican and this came up. If you’re looking for nice date night, not your scene. If you’re looking for GOOD FRESH Mexican food with no frills, this is it!
We had a similar place in Olathe, KS we frequented.

So, yes, the one review is correct that there are menus in Spanish and those don’t give the prices and such, however, if you go in they give you a menu with both English and Spanish. The prices are clearly on there. This is an AUTHENTIC Mexican joint next to the authentic Mexican store.

I had the steak taco salad and hubs had chicken taco salad. All the freshest ingredients and a solid portion of meat, beans, cheese dip, and all the extras. The salsa and chips were amazing. They give you 3 varieties.

No prices were on either English or Spanish Menu. So I just simply asked "What are you known for?" They had been open a couple of months.

$14.95 later, I felt a little taken. Lesson learned and probably won't go back. So if you have read this far and stop, I understand.

When reviewing a restaurant, I always take things into consideration, language is one of them. I don't take off for language issues or issues I have personally dealing with language barrier. 1 star is taken off for the fact there were no prices on the menu.

I took another star off due to the meal I received. Meat was not tender at all and super salty. Not for me.

So let's talk about the positives, hate dewndling on the negative. They do receive a star for clean restroom. Great job.

Another star was earned for clean tables and floors. The third star is given for the lovely atmosphere and religious decor.

So in conclusion, 3 out of 5. Clean location, clean restrooms and a pleasant atmosphere with a pleasing looking full dish of food. Tough meat being overly salty and no prices on the menu are a huge draw back.

I was hoping the grocery store next door would expand into this space, good for them! The food is great! Some of the best I’ve had!
