Only had appetizers and drinks with friends. Fried raviolis were good, but the calamari was awful. Being a Northeast native, the calamari didn't even come close to authentic. Loved atmosphere and I will visit again to try one of the entrees as they looked interesting. I'm all about giving second chances.
Was a little put out initially. We didn't have a reservation and they said they were booked solid. Almost the entire resturant was empty. They had tables near the bar though and they were fine. Food was good. Calamari appetizer was tasty and perfectly cooked. The entrees were very good and good portions. The bread was fresh and flavorful. The creme brulee was pretty awesome.
The buttered prawns were a delight and the Chicken Rigatoni I tried was subtle with flavours & super delicious. Beautiful ambience, especially the outdoor seating during summer, needs an early booking though. One thing I regret is that, in all my visits I get so stuffed up with the entree's & main, I never get to their selective dessert selection, waiting for my next visit to US to check the desserts off my list.
I was a huge fan of the service I received here, it's top notch I gotta say. Server checked up on me every 3 minutes or so and I got my food quicker than every place I eat at. The guy told us a story about how toasted ravioli became a thing. Merlot on tap was thick like I wanted it to be. Waters and butter were also given and bread. The only thing I was not offered was olive oil.
Unfortunately, we were greatly disappointed. We first ate there about a year ago, and the food was amazing! We were so excited to be back in town to enjoy it once again, and already knew exactly what we wanted from the menu.
As soon as the food hit our table, we knew something was off. The presentation, the texture, everything was different. With the first bite, great expectations quickly became an even bigger disappointment. Our waitress was amazing, and the manager tried her best to salvage our evening, but the damage had already been done.
Sometimes a new cook or a new chef can change the menu for the better. In this case, the menu items were the same, but with a different spin. What used to be the most amazing crab cakes ever, turned into over seasoned, crab flavored stuffing scooped onto a plate with an ice cream scooper.
As nice as everyone was, we went there for the food... and won't be back.
