J. McGraugh's Bar & Grill

Not really sure how to rate this place, so I gave it a 3 as a neutral. It depends on what you are looking for. I would describe it as a neighborhood kind of dive bar that is oddly located in an upscale area. I felt a bit out of place as it seemed most people there were regulars.

The place is very small inside with some outdoor seating. Didn't order any food so I can't speak on that. However, the beer was ice cold; best temp on a bottled beer I've had in a long time. And, the price was very reasonable. Also, the bartender was attentive & friendly.

Great dive in Clayton. Possibly the only one.

TV was broke, so came in about 9:30pm to catch the end of a game, and was seated and served a full meal (app of onion rings, burger & steak fries, two beers). Friendly service and good food!

Can we give this bar 10 stars? We love this place! It is our "local".. my husband is British and this is his bit of home and pub of choice. Rick, Sarrah and Herb are great. This bar feels like family and you are always welcome!
