Helen Fitzgerald's Irish Grill & Pub

My husband and I stopped at Helen Fitzgerald's Irish Grill & Pub for lunch on a recent trip to St. Louis. The food was great, but the service left more to be desired. Our waitress was simply not friendly. She also got our drink orders wrong, which would have been fine if she had been a bit more friendly. We had to hunt her down when we were ready to leave (after waiting about 15 minutes for a ticket after we finished our food). I think they just didn't have enough waitresses to staff the place because there was a banquet room full of people for a birthday party.
The food, however, was delicious. I had the Irish beef stew and my husband had the roast beef on cheesy garlic bread. We both really enjoyed our dishes.

I love coming here. The have great food at a good price. The servers are well trained and I look forward to coming back.

This place has the best toasted ravioli I have ever had. The edges stay soft and fluffy, not crunchy and hard. Anything I have had here was good. I am a little bummed that they stopped doing the Blue Plate lunch specials though. Now you can expect to spend no less than $10 on a meal and drink.

Had a large crowd for lunch and thought it was going to be a disaster. However, I was wrong. The server handled our crowd well and without any mishaps. She did a great job!! I had the lunch special of the day and it was fantastic. Strip steak with roasted potatoes and green beans. Will definitely go back for lunch soon.

We walked in with a party of 9, got seated quickly in a private room. The food & service we're really good. We all left full & happy!
