John Mineo's Italian Restaurant

Fantastic food with great personality. I ordered Escargot which were perfectly seasoned and tasted amazing. The eggplants was also just fantastic (and this is coming from somebody who normally hates eggplants).

This longtime restaurant at Mason and Clayton roads is less well-known then some of the older Italian restaurants, but it is every bit as good as those big names down on The Hill. From the beautiful interior to the professional waiters to the large menu to the changing specials that are available every visit, this is a restaurant for a special occasion or more often if that's in your budget. There's an extensive wine list and a sommelier for your wine choices. Their halibut has always been perfectly cooked: a favorite of mine.

It was really difficult to get a table here because they seldom receive calls. Once, you get a reservation, it is a great experience. Food tastes amazing.

Pro tip: if you are on a budget outing, ask for price of specials before ordering one. They do not tell it on their own and prices may vary drastically even within the specials.

Fantastic local Italian joint. Great atmosphere for intimate dinners, or business meetings.

We had about 4 tables of guests. The service was great for the amount of people, and the food tasted wonderful. It's a bit on the expensive side, but it's worth it.

Parking and access are easy, and I'll definitely visit again.

Exceptional Italian cuisine. Fine dining Italian. It's a very classy place. The food is incredible, quality you can only find in an independent establishment. Great fish specials, amazing steaks and pastas. Fine wine selection. Cozy atmosphere. Nice private room available for large parties. Fun and professional staff. Easily among the top Italian restaurants around town.
