“We go here fairly often (once every couple of months) and have only had one bad experience in what would probably total around 20 visits. The sushi is as good as you will find in St. Louis, and considerably better than almost anywhere else. Service has always been very good, other than that one time, and the food is always very good to great. Try the crab rangoon - this stuff is not your Chinese buffet garbage. Rolled like an egg roll, and super delicious. We love Nippon Tei.”

“I ate there yesterday around 1:15 am... and the service was fast and the workers were very polite in taking my order and also exceptional kindness was displayed at the window during the money and food exchange. She also gave me a lot of fire sauce, even though I only said "fire" when she asked if i wanted any sauces'... she gave me so much i had to get it with both of my hands or else it would've fallen on the ground... She was so nice! If I had just said fire sauce she could've put it in the bag for me, but I had forgotten and so even though my answer was slow because i was thinking and such, she still gave me all that much! That is AWESOME! and IMPRESSIVE! I loved my experience last night! And they made my two bean burritos wonderfully! I enjoyed them so much... I'm about to go right now! I hope they serve bean burritos at breakfast time too! or sometime around 9:00 am :D so I can start enjoying them bean burritos so much earlier! And the website also showed me about the creamy Jalapeno Sauce that I must get in there :D haha i'm pretty excited. 5/5 from me.”

“Love eating here when we visit St Louis area, the owners remembered us from 4 years ago when we had a party for my birthday. They have a diet menu with steamed protein and veggies. I ordered D8 which is steamed prawns, chicken, and scallops with veggies, I told them to hold the carrots and baby corn. The cook misread the order and only sent Shrimp, we got the chicken and scallops soon after. Definitely a restaurant to eat at!!”

A huge portion of pork steak meat (cut and bonless) that is mouthwatering and simply delicious!. Worth the price and a repeat visit. Access to the restaurant is a little tricky so plan a little extra time to navigate the crazy roads in Des Peres.”

“Had a large party of 25 which I had made reservations for 2 weeks prior. They put us in a semi-private area where there were a couple of other groups as well. We had a mix of teenagers and parents in our group. The food was great, service was attentive and the atmosphere was fantastic! “Monark Cafe is a great place to grab a bite to eat. They are located in the lobby of the Orhopedic building off of Old Des Peres Rd. They have a great variety of food and it is always tasty! They have a chili that is out of this world! I often come here to get some chili for lunch even though I don't have business in the building. On top of that, the owners, Mark and Monica, are very nice and friendly! It's always a pleasure to get something to eat from Monark Cafe.”

Was charged almost 19 bucks for the 14 inch 2 topping pizza that I ordered. I asked for the receipt to see what I was charged for, but the receipt wasn't itemized so I didn't know exactly what I paid $19 for... That's almost 3 "full crust" pizzas from the some of the major brands.”
