Hadn't been here in over 6 years...they have since remodeled the interior and it looks great! Overall I enjoyed the food but there were some weak spots.
Much of the food was too sweet...the coconut shrimp had pretty good flavor but the sauce could almost be used as fruit dip it was so sweet! The broiled (?) Salmon was so overcooked it was brown & dry and had so much red pepper it barely touched my tongue and I nearly choked!
Fried rice & noodles were both acceptably flavored. Peel & eat shrimp were what you would expect on a buffet but I must say, having them displayed for serving in the middle of the dessert bar was a bit disconcerting!
I enjoyed the Seafood Delight and Crab Rangoon but again both were sweeter than I prefer. Plus the triangle fold Rangoon were so hard along the edges that they were impossible to eat!
Fried chicken wings were tasty & moist. The egg-drop soup was egg-drop soup...about what you'd find most places, neither great, nor bad, but a nice pallette to add to in order to build your own dish...mix in some fried rice, some chicken & veggies, pepper oil to your taste & it came together nicely.
I'm sorry so much of this sounds negative because I did actually enjoy the meal....just be prepared for some unusual seasoning and know that this is definately "everyday" food, nothing to earn fanfare, but I do think there's something for everybody.
I must say but the food is just Buffet is absolutely flavorful and delicious. The Chinese buffet in Dellwood used to be my go-to but I think I'm going to make this Buffet even though it doesn't have all of the items my new go-to just because of how delicious everything was. The coconut shrimp was just drowned in this Delicious coconut cream sauce it was so good... please give this place a try it is definitely worth it.
This buffet is the best Chinese buffet in the St. Louis area. Food is very fresh and hot. You can tell it is homemade and not just dumped out frozen food. The interior although very clean could use a more modern update. It looks very 70's.
Good place to sit down for Chinese; food was rotated often, hot and pretty tasty. Service was great, and wait staff was very attentive. Wasn't very busy when we were seated. Be aware that crab legs are not part of the buffet. Restrooms were mediocre, but stocked and usable.
Food seems above average for American Chinese cuisine and good selection. No sign of hot n sour soup, my favorite. Service was efficient and pleasant. Was somewhat shocked at the $11.49 PRICE per head as I couldn't see the value to buying what we consumed for less at another local non-buffet Chinese restaurant of equal quality.
