Elicious Southern Style Breakfast and Brunch

Reminds me of a restaurant that use to be in the city “Goody Goody” real nice atmosphere and great service! Me personally just didn’t get impressed by the food, it was ok…I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants and I’ve had some to just Wow me with their food this one didn’t.

This seems to be the only restaurant I've been to who actually put thought into their chairs that they have customers sitting in. The sitting is really on the higher quality side. Very much recommend stopping by.

My husband and I went for breakfast. We were greeted immediately and were seated in under 5 minutes. Our server was quick to take and deliver drink orders. Unfortunately, all 3 of the entrees I wanted to try were not offered on the menu (Sweet Potato Pancakes, Salmon Croquettes, and Shrimp and Grits). So I ended up with Buttermilk Pancakes, Sausage, Potatoes and the Brioche French Toast - all a la carte. Husband got omelet with sausage and bacon with a side of gravy. Food was served 15 minutes after ordering and it was hot. Potatoes were a bit under seasoned for what I consider "Southern" but the sausage gravy was good. I'd say for what we ordered, it was good, nice portions and reasonably priced. I will say however, that we were disappointed that none of the items we saw online and came in the door for weren't even on the printed menu. We'll definitely be back if they expand the menu to what was originally promised.

We came on a Tuesday morning. The environment was welcoming. We order waffles, bacon, 2 eggs over medium, breakfast potatoes and coffee. The waiter did bring creamer after asking twice, the potatoes were good. The quality of the bacon was good but not cooked crispy as we requested. The waffle were hard, over cooked. The waiter didn't bring syrup till our waffles were cold. The first batch of eggs came out looking scrambled instead of over easy and the next had a lots of butter I had to use napkins to remove some of the butter. This place has a lot of potential but needs to get servers with experience. I will give it another in a couple of months. Hopefully things will get better since they are still figuring things out.

Today was the Grand Opening and I was super excited to try as I’ve been following their social media and everything has looked good. I was not prepared for how busy it was going to be, but after a 15 minute wait we were seated. Our waitress was super polite and took our food order and quickly brought our beverages. After that things went downhill.

We waited over an hour for our food. Our waitress did update us that things were taking a while but sheesh! When we finally got our food it looked good but everything was room temp. We ordered chicken and waffles (3wings) scrambled eggs, lyonnaise potatoes, grits and salmon croquettes.

The chicken lacked seasoning, not even basic salt and pepper. The waffle was cold and had no butter or syrup accompanying it. I didn’t eat it. The croquettes were mushy and didn’t really have any veggies or seasoning. The scrambled eggs, grits and potatoes were the only things that were warm and they were flavorful.

It’s sad because everything LOOKED so good. It smelled good in the establishment as well. And the music was on point! Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing.
