Great customer service great food and good prices ????????????
Used to go to this place all the time back in the late aughts in college. It is still the same. Same tables. Same chairs. Same Ferguson history on the walls. Occasionally a train really does go by. The kitchen/ cashier area is behind a wooden ticketing area. Excellent custard. They also sell pints. Good basic diner food. Seemed a little empty in 2018 but even at 3 pm on a weekday in the spring had a steady stream of customers. Pretty clean bathrooms. Accessible entrance. Down the road from the newly reopened Reds. And the new Ferguson police and municipal justice center.
I wish I could give more than five stars! We just moved to Ferguson, and live right by whistle stop and couldn’t wait to give it a try. From the way the restaurant is set up, to the employees working there, to the food, this is a must stop if you’re visiting Ferguson. The interior is set up like an old train station, with historic facts about Ferguson lining the walls. It’s such a cute place! The employees were excellent! Their customer service was probably the best I’ve had in a long time, anywhere. They are all extremely helpful to the customers, and with each other, and all were extremely friendly. The food was tasteful, and affordable. For nine dollars I got half a sandwich, a huge Caesar salad, and a scoop of cookies and cream frozen custard. The custard of which, was some of the best I’ve ever had.
I think Ferguson gets a bad rap after everything it’s been through. Places like this are such a breath of fresh air. It helps show the real value of Ferguson!
