Local Chef Kitchen

One of our favorite restaurants in west county. After living in the central west end for years, it was hard to find places to eat with fresh, local ingredients without driving 30 minutes. I know others don't appreciate the simplicity of the decor, we actually feel it adds to the experience because they let the food speak for itself.

Interesting main and sides choices, real honest-to-goodness food that tasted great. I had a chicken salad sandwich with sweet corn Mac and cheese, others had fried chicken, stuffed pepper and wagyu beef, fried potatoes. Highly recommend! We are visiting from out of town, but if we lived here, we would definitely return.

This is no-frills dining but wow, the food is great. The emphasis is on locally-sourced food put together in creative dishes that showcase the best of what the current season offers in unexpected but delicious combinations.

I ordered the stuffed pepper and my husband went with the pork stew. Both were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. You can choose one or two sides to go with your main course. I chose the kale salad, which was good but the homegrown tomatoes, which tasted just like the ones my dad used to grow, were the crowning touch. The squash medley was also wonderful - great flavor and texture with no hint of overcooking. If you're frustrated by places that cook vegetables into unrecognizable mush, you'll love this place!

Wonderful food wonderful people. creative and always changing recipes and new things to try. the little market is filled with great Little gems and snacks. make sure you try some of the ice cream that's made with honey and say hi to Rob for me

We were out exploring and wanted something fresh for lunch. The service was exemplary (the man at the front had us laughing and smiling) and the food did not disappoint. On top of being local and home made it was flavorful and yummy We will be back to visit. Fresh comfort food with a yummy twist
