BB's Jazz, Blues and Soups

My wife and I went to BB’s Jazz, Blues and Soups last night (8/29) and it was an exhilarating experience. The musicians were first rate. By musicians, I am including The STL Shed band, it’s lead singer, Tish, who is a talented, entertaining , and engaging woman; and the participating audience members, who one after the other showcased their talents. I mean one person after another had a great voice or other musical talent. From singers to guitarists, to soprano saxophone player, to keyboardists, to drummers - first rate. This was a tribute night, so I don’t know if musicians happened to drop in - no matter- I thought it was great. Had ribs and they were very good, too. Also liked the beer. Highly recommended!

I loved the ambiance and the music. Both jazz sets were awesome. I felt the apps were decent, the fried green tomatoes and jalapeno hush puppies were the star of the meal. The gumbo and red beans and rice were not good, however. The beans were horribly overcooked and tasted like it had been reheated multiple times. The gumbo was simply lacking in flavor of any kind. Will be back for the music, but won't be trying any of their "soups" again.

BB's has been one of my favorite places for music, drinks and food. We always have great blues musicians and if you can stay up latemusicians make their way there from all over town to jam.

Great music and atmosphere. Live local bands. Local beers on tap. Good local food and delicious specials of the day. Highly recommend when you are in St Louis. Will go again.

Outstanding music and food all in the same spot. The employees were so great and the service was exceptional.

We heard two outstanding bands and great seating. Bill who is fairly new to BBs was kind and knowledge. He is off to a great start. We will definitely be back. BTW, this is one of the most affordable joints around too. Where else can you see multiple bands for one cover?
