Great place to have breakfast. Fair price, tastes good, fulfilling. Waiter was very nice. I did catch a fairly large piece of onion (?!) On the bottom of my blueberry oatmeal bowl. Wasn't a big deal, but definitely unexpected
From food to ambiance, an exceptional experience. The menu is well thought out, the ingredients are fresh, and preparation is excellent. I love the openness with natural light flooding the interior and the bright yellows and light Earth tones make it very amiable. And the services matches it -- high marks all around.
I love just spending time in here hanging out. Great, inviting space to have a coffee in. The food has always been exceptional. Portions a good as well as variety of food. I love that they have good quality tea, it's hard to find places that serve more than just a tea bag but I like that they use actual loose leaf tea. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or a coffee break!
Ambience was fantastic, our waiter was super nice...... but our waffles took forever to come out (not a busy time) and when they did they were cold. My boyfriend and I were too hungry to complain. Also, I cannot drink dairy or soy and the menu only lists regular milk for their tasty sounding selection of espresso beverages; I figured I'd only be able to get a black coffee but turns out they do have almond milk (maybe coconut too? ). That should **definitely** be on the menu.
If I lived downtown I could maybe see myself going there more often because it looks so nice...... perhaps will go again and be able to give more stars.
Nice location. Decor matches the name. Interesting departure from typical restaurants. Our meals didn't sit well. Might give it another whirl on the next trip to "the Lou".
