    FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!
My daughter and I went on a Friday in Lent, and the non- meat choices were as plentiful as the other regular choices. The scallops with the fried spinach were fabulous and unusual. Everything we ordered was excellent including desserts made by Matthew on site. The tagline "comfort food with a twist" is accurate. Moreover the proprietor, Matthew, makes rounds and visits with the clientele in a charming and inviting way. Our server was knowledgeable and at our side just the right amount. If you want a reasonably priced, family friendly, date friendly, funky, comfortable (dress is casual but nice) place to support a guy following his heart and the American dream, PATRONIZE MATTHEW'S KITCHEN. We will definitely return.

The food and service were both very good. My steak was cooked perfectly. Everyone at the table left happy and full.

Three great lunches and one great dinner clinched my decision to have them cater an event. It was fabulous! The food was delicious and well presented and the staff was over the top with respect to courtesy, efficiency, and friendliness. I will eat there again and use them for future events, when they arise.

"Comfort food with a twist" is the perfect description. The menu is full of creative variations on old favorites and you can tell that a lot of thought went into the recipes. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the "twists" worked. The atmosphere is great, and the staff welcomed us like old regulars. Definitely worth checking this place out.

My wife and I discovered this place via their booth at the Lindenwood neighborhood festival. The pig wings are awesome, as are the deep fried potatoes. They were also very accommodating of special requests.
