My husband and I went to Savage last night for a date and had an incredible night! We have gone to over 10 chefs tasting across the US, this was our first one in STL. The ambiance of the restaurant, music, lighting, and serving wear were very sleek, modern, and enticing. We did the 12 course with the wine paring. There wasn’t a dish we didn’t like. They were all very interesting and a true work of art. Each dish has an amazing array of flavors, combinations, and perfectly balanced. The drink pairings were a perfect match and complement to each plate. We enjoyed being able to watch the team create such masterpieces in front of our eyes. We had such a great night and couldn’t stop talking about it while we were there and at home. We asked to speak to the chef to complement his work and restaurant and he was extremely humble and appreciative. I recommend this restaurant 100 times over it you are into chefs tasting, small plates, and unique creations of art. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a great night :)
Excellent culinary experience! As a self-proclaimed foodie, it’s very cool to see this concept succeeding in St. Louis! Go support this Chef who’s mastered his craft!
Don't be deceived by the outside and the Fox Park address you need to try Savage. Logan Ely's food is personal. Beautiful treatment of pristine seafood and seasonal produce equals an excellent meal of exquisite bites. Many you will want one more I guarantee ! Interesting wines to accompany. Not your typical restaurant..but a place to be seen, to participate in the experience and to enjoy. AS for the cost, a meal of this caliber and in a major city would easily be twice the price ! The first time I dined at Savage may have been the most intimate and personal meal I have ever had in St Louis. I dine out a lot. Don't listen to the doubters...go with an open mind and be willing to enjoy the show...and you get one when you watch this team work. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and the kitchen is humming ! Top notch !
Small food, big prices. It's very unique and artsy. Trendy and hip. As another reviewer has said, I was more impressed by the descriptions of the food than the actual food.
I guess it depends what you're looking for. This is a great place to have a unique experience. It's not a great place to get food.
