Sheesh Tawok and chicken Kabob are a must try - meat is succulent and flavorful. Fresh warm pita is better than any other place in Saint Louis. Kabak with layered veggies is unique and perfect quantity.
Had lunch at Sheesh restaurant last week and the food was excellent. The restaurant staff was very courteous and accommodating. The place can definitely use extra help to serve the customers quicker.
Had to wait for a very long time to get our food. Order fresh orange juice without ice else ice fills up half of the glass. 3 stars because the food tastes good.
Sheesh is an amazing authentic Turkish experience! The decor makes it perfect for a celebration of any sort. I had a "combo" kebab platter with two types of lamb kebabs that were perfectly spiced and cooked - even the rice was spiced delicately and quite tasty. I also shared in the Turkish "pizza" appetizer, which was delicious, and a dessert that was like a cheese pie with pistachio (I would need the menu to spell them all correctly, but there are beautiful English descriptions to find the same dishes, if you please.) I indulged in a Turkish coffee, as well, which was delightful as well - I chose to have it unsweetened. Overall, I definitely recommend this place and intend to return in the future.
