Doc's Hickory Roadhouse

Visited Doc's a few weeks after their reopening. We were promptly seated and courteously served. The food was very good (awesome brisket!) and the portions good sized. All-in-all a good value and we would visit here again.

I approached the general manager at Doc's about having my mom's birthday bash there because she really likes the atmosphere and their staff and since they added entertainers, its been even better! Marsha helped me so much and really made the party a genuine success. We had a section of the restaurant to ourselves and mom and all her friends and family were able to really enjoy themselves and the food was perfect! I don't ever give reviews its not my thing, but with my mom being ill, thinking this may be the last time she'll be able to get everyone together, and seeing how happy she was, I just really wanted to thank the staff and especially Marsha. They all helped make her night very special.

My wife and I really liked this place. We had the brisket and turkey, both were very smoked and full of flavor, and good portions. The fried corn on the cob was juicy, sweet, and crunchy instead of greasy. The rest of the sides were good as well. For me, a good way to tell if a restaurant is cutting corners is the pop. The Pepsi was highly carbonated and maybe had extra syrup.
