“Me and the wife decided to try this new Italian restaurant after Valentine's. We both work in the food industry, and we always work on this kinds of holidays. I made our reservation at 7, got there little early and got sat right away. I didn't know the restaurant closes at 8 but we decided to give it a shot. The manager sat us at our table, and that's where it started. Our server Kegan ( Hope that's how you spell his name ) he was amazing. Very attentive and kind. He took his time to take care of us knowing they close an hour. He never try to rush our dinner. The food was amazing and delicious, worth your money. The manager, his name is ( Meryan, please forgive me for spelling it wrong ) anyway, he was very nice and generous, he got us some dessert and it was very delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely going back soon.. Thanks for the hospitality.”

“We popped in on the first night open to the public; 05/17. We were visiting from Dallas, so maybe we were the first tourists! Looked like all locals the first night. Great location, and venue. Everyone, both staff and patrons, were very friendly and cool. Greeted with a shot when we walked in! Had a DJ upstairs, and it was a great ambiance. We'll definitely make this a stop on the next trip up from TX! Go where the locals go!!”

“The food was not to our kid's liking. Their chicken tenders tasted like fish batter. I did enjoy the peel and eat shrimp and the seasoning they used. I was not impressed with the waitresses slow response once we got here. She picked up the pace after her initial intro to us and she was friendly. Nothing wrong with our order, but for the price it wasn't as impressionable as I would have liked it to be. Also, I feel like most of the servers forgot to keep their masks over their noses.”

I can relate to what sacrifices the employees must make. Dec. 24th is my daughter's Birthday! She chose Black Oak because of their excellent reputation for good food & service! “Really wanted to give this 4 or 5 because the food was phenomenal. Just not good enough to wait an hour and a half for it. The way the waiting list was handled was less than ideal. I’m sure it’s just a busy place because of the food but it could be executed better. We waited nearly an hour to be seated, we got seated and waited roughly 25 minutes to get drinks and place our order. By the time we received food I was ready to leave. I’m glad I stayed, the trash can nachos were the best nachos I’ve ever had. Hopefully they can work out a better way to handle rush with the hostesses and help out the wait staff with handling their tables in a more efficient way. I would go back to give them another chance. I just wouldn’t recommend going when you’re very hungry because of the wait.”

“Came in with the family about a week ago! Food wasn’t the best but my husband loved the ribs, and my son loved his Buffalo wontons. My steak was kind of tough and a little undercooked but had a good flavor! Mike was our server and he was very good. Very attentive, our drinks were never empty and he got my son a free dessert for his birthday! We will be back for the ribs itself, the atmosphere, and the service!”
