Very small town, great diner, food is delicious and waitresses are always super friendly we drive 40+ miles and frequent this place for a family meal

Good variety of food. You can order or do buffet every day. Reasonable price.

A group of us went in for a quick lunch. We got our food fast and it was so good! Would definitely recommend to friends!

Went to Family Steakhouse after funeral services with a group of more than 40. I wasn't sure what to expect since Yelp reviews didn't top 2.

Most opted for the buffet but about a dozen ordered from the menu. The buffet had a great variety - lots of Southern style veggies, spaghetti, garlic toast, and 3 types of chicken (2 varieties of wings and homemade fried chicken).

There were also 2 types of soups, a full salad bar, and a fruit / dessert bar. Additionally, each table received a basket of fresh-baked homemade rolls, which were warm and dense.

We had one waitress, who I believe was also handling the main floor as well. She handled us all with ease, even when many folks kept changing tables on her.

I would definitely eat here again when in town. It's not perfect, it's not fancy, and options might be limited at times. Just remember you are at a home-town family-owned restaurant, which has wonderful homemade food (& the chocolate sheet cake!!!!!).
