I just had the new menu item street tacos and they are out of this world. I felt like I was back in Fresno.

    Imagine, if you will....

Things in this world aren't looking up...well, with the global unrest, pandemics, wars and rumors of wars, reservoirs running dry, bleak societal division, crooked politicians, etc. How can one escape the constant reminders of the toilet bowl one find oneselves in?

You can't. It's as if all joy has been violently ripped from us...and any concoction of instant, albeit, short lived joy comes with a reminder of the ever looming cloud of despair hanging over your head. Then, you find yourself exiting the interstate in Columbus, MT.

It really doesn't matter which kind you get. Remember, how can you taste anything if you're already dead inside? Stumbling up to this food truck that says Big Fat Lunchbox, you are reminded that the joy you seek will probably be as any other joy you have experienced...instant, short lived, and a price too heavy to pay. You sigh, but you have to eat...depressed, you push forward and read the menu to find your liking.

A friendly face greets you, living by the motto "it's not work if you love what you do!" Annoyed yet hopeful, unaware the gal has brought your mood up enough to regain confidence in your choice, you pick the burrito you think you'd like. A wink, slight nod and a smile, the gal says "ooo, good choice" and begins making what will be a life changing moment...and yet, you are completely unaware of what possibly will be a moment of divine intervention. At first glance, the burrito is fat, hot, and unimpressive...probably because most things disappoint you up to this point...thats ok, you move forward. Unwrapping the love presented before you, you take hold of it, bring it to your mouth, bite into it hoping you don't spill any while trying to get each ingredient in your mouth.

    And then it happens.

The first bite begins to change everything you thought you knew. The cheese, the eggs, the French fries, the...wait, what is that? What is that sweet, smokey, spicy (not hot) revelation? The mana that binds souls together? As if you have found what you have been looking for after 50 years of searching?
Every bite opens the heavens a bit more radiantly allowing the sun to shine into your soul. I guess you could say it's existential in a way because the rejuvenation you feel in your entire being after each bite provides you with a moment....just a moment of total serenity. As if all the global conflicts, pandemics, unrest had simply dimmed in the light of this radiant peace.

Slow motion tranquility. No matter how fast you eat. You have momentarily left this world and found your true purpose....to enjoy life since you only get one. The burrito gets smaller, you get fuller, life gets easier, colors get brighter, and the ebs and flows of this world look like a symphony of emotions coming together in one chaotic moment.

All that's left is a wrapper now. As in the movies, life begins to return back to you, ambient sound crescendo back to normal levels. The problems? They haven't left BUT now you feel a sense of confidence...confidence to overcome anything. You smile a bit stronger at your neighbors, you love your family and friends a bit harder. The joy, which you have only felt to be instant and short lived, now feels like an unquenchable fire, growing and blazing higher and higher. Uncontrollable joy is infectious and you can't help but spread it like a shopper at Walmart with the flu.

A slight moment of dread comes over you...when will I ever be back in Columbus? Fear not, they will bring the food to you on Fridays in Billings....just have to preemptively order God's second greatest gift on their website. Surely, like anything else that has brought you joy, it's financially broken you...right? Nay. These angels masquerading as people charge you 12 dollars....or 714 rubles.

I promise you, it will change you. If it doesn't, look inward and discover your soul...for you are not the soulless nephilim of old. You smile is needed and this world needs your joy if it is going to survive.

BFL is the cure. You have purpose.

Best burrito I've ever had ever! And apparently I'm not the only one because I got there at 8:00 in the morning and they were very close to sold out. Glad I got one in time. I just wish they were open more often.
