Good food but the prices are high for the community, I suspect they are hoping for a large military clientele…..

Okay, to start everything off, i am not a huge sushi person. I go to places like this with the missus, and she loves it, but I always give a try. Being a textural eater limits my options, though. With that being said, let's begin.

Gyoza (japanesse potstickers basicly) was my appetizer, and my god, I could eat those all day. The crunch on the outside was perfect, and the hot stuffing inside was flavorful. I'm not exaggerating when i say these are the best I've ever had. The missus had Edimame, which normally is coated with salt of some kind, was coated with garlic and an oil i didn't recognize. Though different, very good.

I chose to go with an entre of Ramen, not spicy and a "dynamite" premium roll. I selected the roll because it had a baked time warning, and i assumed it would be crunchy or fried based on my understanding. To no fault but my own, i didn't finish it. The flavor was grand, and the presentation was beautiful. Texturally, though, i couldn't eat it, but give it a try.

The ramen... I am going to talk about it, but i removed it from my rating on the grounds that I went to a sushi place and ordered something not sushi related. The ramen was appalling. The meat cut was flavorless and unappetizing. The noodles were in 2-3 inch lengths and lacked any kinda of flavor, mainly from the fact that the broth lacked it as well.

My wife ordered several rolls and had mixed feelings about them, aspects she liked and disliked but was overall satesfied by the meal.

Now, the food aside, the service was amazing. Our server smiled the whole time. You might think that normal, but look around the next time you're out. She was knowledgeable in suggestions and asked questions of the chef when she didn't know an answer. Listening to a young lady at the sushi bar talk with the sushi chef impressed on me how amazing their service was. My hats off to the staff.

Everything about this place was great, especially considering it’s brand new. The sushi was the freshest I’ve ever tasted, the servers was great, the owner was awesome. I’m so glad this place came to Fallon. Highly recommend.

Found out this place recently opened up in the past few days as I was randomly searching for a place to eat sushi. There are only so many places to eat around here so I was very surprised a new sushi spot had opened. Did I mention this place has an all-you-can-eat option?! Another Asian spot in town called The Wok used to have this but no longer does it. So here's my review so far:

The atmosphere is nice and cozy with lots of lighting. It is situated in a building with a few other businesses attached to it. The inside has several tables and a couple of sofa seats for large groups. You also have to option to sit at the bar as well. It is a bit small, so I can imagine this place being at full capacity pretty quickly especially on a busy day.

The food. I was in a group so we started off with some appetizers like the green muscles, chashu pork, fried gyoza, and chicken karage. My favorite was the pork, lightly seared and not too salty. I ordered most of the fish nigiri. Unfortunately they did not have ikura, ika, or tako available at the time 😕. The fish to rice ratio was decent, but I would have preferred the rice amount to be little smaller. However, the amount of fish you received compensated for that. For the rolls we had the viking, yin yang, zephyr, ASAP, badazz, baja, hungry hippo, and Mr. Krab. I wasn't too fond of the deep fried rolls (viking and hungry hippo) as the texture and taste wasn't all that appealing. I felt it took away from the flavor inside the roll. I usually go for the fresh rolls anyways, but decided to try it out.

As far as the service went, it went well. However, I did have to ask for a refill and some ginger and wasabi. The amount they gave you was very little, a lot less than I'm normally given. I had maybe just a dab of wasabi and a few slices of ginger, but they did say you can ask for more.

Overall, I would come back here again. For 38 dollars and the plentiful options you have on the menu, you really can't beat that price especially since it's the only all-you-can-eat sushi spot here in town. They do have an a la carte menu that also includes entrees, ramen, and sashimi for those who opt out of the AYCE. I will try those items the next time I return.
