Texas Roadhouse

Update: We decided to give Texas Roadhouse another try, and it was a very good experience, side dishes came out perfect (mushrooms, chili and mixed vegetables) both of our steaks were cooked perfect, great service, so I'm happy we gave them another shot - I guess everyone has an "off" day.

We were happy to see Texas Roadhouse open, we've dined at other locations in the past. We've dined at this location approximately once a week, and it has been a positive experience until tonight. Last week I was able to order sauteed mushrooms as a side dish (counted as one of the two sides), tonight I tried to do the same and was told I could not - that it would be additional cost and I would have to order 2 additional sides, so I said never mind (I love mushrooms, but more importantly counting calories and they're lower in calories than other sides). Instead I ordered a cup of chili, fresh vegetables and a sirloin. The cup of chili had large chunks of burnt ground beef - so burnt it was crunchy, I've had the chili before but never like this. We also sat for quite a while and did not see our server, so no refill of our drinks. Then came our meal, my side of vegetables was a joke - not even full (2 pieces of broccoli and a few sliced carrots - not the norm again), but worst of all were the steaks! We both ordered medium rare, which we were told warm red centers, both our steaks were gray in the center (well done) but what made it even worse the steaks were like mush, they'd been either tenderized or marinated way too much. We never feel comfortable sending our food back, we usually just don't return if we have a bad experience. We love consistency in our dining experience, sadly that's difficult to find. Texas Roadhouse is now on the list of inconsistent restaurants and I doubt we'll be returning on a regular basis.

Great steaks that were cooked perfectly. All the food came out promptly. From the check in stand to all the wait staff and food runners, service was great.
I strongly recommend downloading the app and adding yourself to the wait list instead of going directly there first. It's a time saver and prevents you from waiting in the waiting area too long.

This was my first time at Texas Roadhouse, my girlfriend took me. She had been raving about this place, when they opened one in Henderson it was a must visit. I am giving this place an honest 5 star but not from my experience. The atmosphere was amazing, it was busy and friendly, felt like a family reunion. My girlfriend had steak which seem to be there specialty, for her it was perfect but I am not a fan of eating raw meat 🤣 I have an addiction for prime rib, but not like most. I want to see very little pink, I know you true meat eaters would say that ruins the meat. But I don't want to kill my own meal, and that is where I had to issue. The coolest thing I have seen in any restaurant yet was the temperature of the meat, right there listed on the menu. It tells you how much pink by way of wellness, I saw medium well = very little pink. This is not what I got, that thing was so pink I doubt if it were cooked at all. I sent it back 3 times and it still wasn't right, finally I just gave up and took it home. But the flavor was awesome it just was cooked enough for me. So for those of you who likes for your food to put up a fight, this might not be a bad place. If you are like me a don't care to wrestle you meatbat the table, be sure to give proper cooking instructions.

I love this place! Christina was our server and she was awesome. Steaks cooked just the way I like, sides are awesome. All at reasonable prices. We were greeted when we came in and thanked by all front door staff when leaving. Can’t say enough good things about this place.
