I've been seeing recommendations for this restaurant on Facebook and it didn't disappoint on my first visit. The piece of fish you get is generous in size and is cooked at order. It wasn't greasy or tasted like grease as well. They do have sides of mushed peas, curry, and gravy but didn't get any of those this visit. The cashier, who was also the server was pleasant and friendly. I will definitely come back again.

Fantastic dinner! Ordered three fish and chips for me and the fam. Crispy and delicious, large piece of fish (Cod) and chips were great. With the tarter sauce, some lemon and malt vinegar it was fantastic. Had to try the clam chowder, delicious. Full of clam and creamy chowder with a hint of bacon. Also tried the pea fritters, Spam fritters and the battered sausage. All were deliciously amazing tried it all with different combinations of the curry and brown gravy. LOVE THE GRAVY! Definitely gonna try the cod butty and the "Kevin" (burrito) next time we go. Great guy behind the counter and a great fish and chips dinner. It reminded us so much of our trip to London a couple years ago. Instantly brought us back with those delicious flavors. Definitely a must try if you're craving some amazing fish and chips!

While the Codfather is small in size, they pack a punch with huge portions served to each and every customer. They even have a kids menu.

This was my first time here. I happened to be in the area and was looking for something good for lunch. Upon searching nearby restaurants. I ran across The Codfather. It reminded me of a restaurant we frequented when I was a child, so I decided to try it.

Upon entering, I was greeted by the owner. He's very friendly. I decided to eat here since there's seating inside but you can take it to go as well.

I got the catfish platter which included chips and a drink. My friend got the codfish and claim chowder soup. Everything was delicious.

Everything is cooked to order, so don't even think you're getting food that's been cooked and laying under a heat lamp.

Once people are done at the tables, the owner cleans and sanitizes the tables.

I highly recommend you try this place if you like fish or just want some good clam chowder.

If you haven't tried The Codfish, then what are you waiting for?

Please note that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Really crispy, fresh fried fish. Got the Haddock fish & chips upon recommendation. Super hot, generous portion, and tasted great. 👍 Little bit of a hole in the wall & toasty inside but other than that, I would say give this place a go!

AUTHENTIC! Coming upon the recommendation of a Scottish friend, we found a new place for fish n chips. We asked for an "authentic" experience, so they added mushy peas and curry, both were quite good! The fish is fresh and a nice portion. I will return!
