Black Bear Diner

I'm a tough critic, and I rarely give 5 stars. It was busy, we were greeted promptly, waited less than 10 min. Server was busy but kept us content the whole time. Food was good, hot, it was correct, plenty of it and we didn't wait long. The restrooms were clean, and I couldn't find anything to complain about. I forgot to take the before pic, but I was already full when I took the pic. Lots of food!

The food was delicious! I ordered The (I think) Griz? The meats were juicy and cooked perfectly. The pancakes were fluffy and the potatoes were crispy. Service was good. I definitely will come back again. I had leftovers but my husband stole them from the fridge when he found out where they were from. Guess he loves this place too!

Service was excellent, our server was polite and efficient. They kept our coffee hot. The wait period was less than they said it would be. The tables were not crowded together. Will definitely go back.

Food was good and fairly priced for portion and plate size. Service was very fast. But the building itself was freezing and the food didn't stay warm for long. Additionally, we ordered the special which should have come with a dessert but the kitchen was "running out of everything." However when we left the tables closer to the door had full plates with everything, including dessert. Not sure what the issue was but it would have been nice if the kitchen was prepared.

This is my first time visiting this diner. I was very impressed and I am not impressed easily. The interior decor was very unique with an outdoorsy log cabin feel to it. The menu appeared at first glance to be a newspaper which I felt was a very novel approach for a menu. They serve breakfast at all times if that is your desire. The food was absolutely great. The pancakes were light and fluffy and probably could be eaten without syrup they were so tasty. The hobo omelette had several types of cheese,three meats and an assortment of vegetables to include spinach. It was probably one of the best that I have had. The food was hot which is crucial for me. The biscuits were large and not the least bit dry as most biscuits like this can be. Their is a small gift shop area if you want or need some souvenir items. There was no pressure from the staff to purchase them, but were readily available if you had questions or needed assistance. I would definitely go back again and recommend it to all others.
